Summer Walk

I like to take a summer walk

When it’s just right

I like to breathe in the trees

And smell the leaves

The fresh smell of summer



I like it best when it’s just rained

When the ground is just dry

And the faint aroma of rain remains

That indescribable, pleasurable aroma

The fresh smell of rain



It is true what they say about the summer breeze

I breathe in deep

And exhale beautifully

Thankful for all things beautiful in my life

Reflecting on all things that still need work

Thankful for summer just right
